My name is Georgi Kisyov. I was born in Bulgaria and now live in Canada, where I’ve learned to slow down and listen to the quieter parts of life. Before moving here, I spent four years in the United States — a time of change, movement, and quiet reflection that continues to shape many of my stories.
I’ve spent the last decade as a stay-at-home father, and that experience changed me in ways I never expected. Being present for the small, everyday moments — bedtime stories, quiet afternoons, the laughter of my son — reminded me that life doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful.
Those moments inspired me to begin writing children’s books. The first two, Vico’s Christmas Storybook and Vico’s Big City Storybook, were written with my son in mind — filled with heart, magic, and the kind of gentle adventures I wanted him to remember.
I also love Christmas deeply — not just the holiday, but the feeling of warmth, kindness, and wonder it brings. That love led me to write The Christmas Card Helper, a collection of original Christmas messages to help people express something heartfelt during the holidays.
Later, I created Mirror Notes — a line of notebooks made for people like me: those who love writing but could never quite find the right space for their thoughts. These notebooks are small mirrors of the life I believe in: quiet, personal, and full of intention.
This website is my way of sharing what matters to me.
I hope it brings you something gentle to carry into your day.
