I always watch my son—how he reacts to different situations, what he’s doing, and sometimes, I’m just amazed. Our children have a way of teaching us, reminding us how simple life can be and how much joy there is in the little things.
Tonight, as I reflect, I realize that our kids are like little life coaches, showing us ways to live better. They have so much to teach, but here are three lessons that stand out to me right now:
1. Always be curious
Kids see the world as a place full of wonder. They ask endless questions, never taking things at face value. Watching my son’s curiosity reminds me that there’s always something new to discover if we keep looking.
2. Be happy for no reason
Children don’t need a big reason to smile or laugh. Their happiness is so pure and spontaneous. It’s a beautiful reminder that joy can come from simply being present and appreciating what’s around us.
3. Fight tirelessly for what you want
Have you ever noticed how persistent kids can be when they set their minds on something? They keep going, no matter how many times they’re told “no.” This resilience is inspiring, reminding us that sometimes, we just have to keep pushing for what we want.
In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, these little reminders from my son keep me grounded and grateful. Let’s all embrace a little bit of that childlike curiosity, joy, and determination as we head into the weekend.

Recently there was a question on facebook: ‘If you wrote a book about your father, what would the last sentence be?’. I answered: ‘Although you did not teach me everything, you taught me how to think and gave me courage to learn the rest.’ I think your son would write the same for you as a dedicated father.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I’m speechless right now. What a beautiful and powerful words. If my son ever feels that way one day, it would be the greatest reward of all.
Thank you for this gift of words. 🙏🏼
